Baahdy og Birdy - the children's own museum guides
Separate area for the kids where you find toys from the MS Finnmarken's sailing time on-board which can also be bought in the shop. On the radio you can hear childrens lessons, educating them about the Hurtigruten and plays the most famous songs by Alf Prøysen. This is suitable for all ages.

The movie "A Precious Cargo", which is about a baby who lost her mother during giving birth, is shown in the Women's Salon at the MS Finnmarken
Restored and rebuilt 2nd class dining room / café from 1956 with music from the 50s / 60s with a crew dressed from the same era
Restored and rebuilt lounges from the late 80's, where you can sit down and enjoy coffee and cakes, or lunch if you would like

Highlights
Richard With “himself" tells about the maiden voyage in 1893 at the theme station "In the beginning"
You will find a dining offer in the café / 2nd class dining room on MS Finnmarken, which has been restored and rebuilt according to the original state of 1956. The food on the menu has been designed to reflect the menus of the old Hurtigruten from the 50s / 60s. Music from the same era is playing
The lounges from the steamship Finmarken from 1912 offer a sense of the atmosphere reminding guests of King Haakon, Richard With and several prominent guests who sat in the same lounges during the opening of Risøyrenna in Vesterålen. The wallpaper, furniture, mirrors, carvings and lamps take your breath away
The lighthouse lens from Litløy lighthouse which is 2.5 m in diameter stretches five meters high in the room. The lens moves 90 degrees and gives out small flashes over the exhibition throughout the day

The cargo hold area, which you enter at the side of the ship, gives you an idea about which cargoes and freights were transported and how Coastal Norway History has always been about the connection between the sea, the people and the boats.
The flag deck at the back of MS Finnmarken gives you a fantastic view of the landscape regardless of the weather
Universal design
The building is designed in such a way that you can effortlessly move through the exhibition and you can reach all floors by the elevator
Disabled toilets are located at the reception and on the third floor of the building (the same level as the lounge deck)
Direct access to the boat deck, saloon deck and A-deck from the building if you are not able to go up the stairs
Access to the Women's and Music Salon in the section from DS Finmarken 1912, where you can also get close to the Smoking Salon and the staircase up to the cabin deck
